Sprint Ventures is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Michael E. Drew as Chair of the Investment Governance Committee (IGC).

Dr Drew brings institutional-grade investment governance and fiduciary oversight and complements the diversity of the Sprint IGC.

He is a trusted advisor to family office, foundation and fiduciary clients, specialising in the areas of investment and governance. Dr Drew is a non-executive director and trustee of enterprises such as QSuper, Mary Aikenhead Ministries, the Petroleum Fund of Timor-Leste, Volunteering Australia, and Hamilton 12.

Concurrently, he serves as a Professor of Finance at the Griffith Business School, Griffith University. Dr Drew has also held senior industry positions with QIC, QSuper, Ord Minnett, JB Were & Son, and Wilson HTM.

Dr Drew said, “I am excited to be joining Sprint Ventures to support its clear purpose to grow, mentor, and invest in the very best early-stage ideas and most importantly, their founders.”

“Sprint’s investment thesis will benefit from the unprecedented times we find ourselves in and the opportunities that will be presenting themselves over the coming years. It is my firm belief that those with patient capital – and a disciplined investment process – will be rewarded handsomely.”

Sprint looks forward to the diverse background and wealth of experience that Dr Drew will bring to our Investment Governance Committee.
