Brisbane, Queensland – Thursday 16 May 2019

Newly launched Venture Capital firm Sprint has today announced a new and innovative approach to help startups to globally scale.

As part of the Sprint investment fund, each startup that receives investment will receive an Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) working onsite in their business for 3 months. There will be no charge to the founders or their teams for this unique business scaling service.

Founder and CEO of the Sprint fund, Queensland digital entrepreneur Llew Jury said that today’s announcement of the Sprint: Accelerator program comes after working in the startup space for over two decades.

“What I’ve seen in recent years as an EiR myself is that many startups chase the funds to survive but don’t receive the positive help and support from their fund managers to truly globally scale.

There’s great mentors giving real-world advice such as Steve Baxter from TLI and also other VC’s supporting their portfolio companies such as the Airtree recruitment service, so we’ve decided to take it one step further and provide an accelerator model inside each of our investment companies.

Part of this model will see dedicated mentors providing industry-leading advice in areas such as capital raising, cash flow forecasting, marketing strategy, people and culture, networking and other key business areas.

This will strengthen our portfolio team’s opportunity to globally scale and matches in with the Sprint vision of deeply supporting the founders and their teams, referenced by the Sprint slogan ‘founders first’. Jury said”.

The Sprint fund is currently open to investors and will close in the coming months. Investors can expect to receive access to the Sprint Investment Group (SIG) that will provide investment education, networking, support and access to portfolio company events. Wholesale investors are welcome to contact Sprint for more information about investing in the fund.
