Tom Bizzell

Investment Analyst (Undergraduate)

Tom is an Investment Analyst (Undergraduate) at Sprint who works on sourcing startups and supporting them on their mission.

Tom is a student at the University Queensland, studying Commerce and Laws (Honours), with a major in Finance. The University of Queensland’s Chief Student Entrepreneur in 2022, Tom developed his passion for technology competing in hackathons, winning a number of national and international hackathon and innovation prizes.

Most notably, he received former CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt’s, 50,000 USD Global Reimagine Challenge Prize for a social media plugin for mental health first aid and, separately, Global 1st place at the Ericsson Innovation Awards, receiving 25,000 EUR for a transportation logistics technology he co-founded.

He furthered his exposure to early stage ventures as the first hire on the product and engineering team at Layer Licensing, working on the first version of their marketplace platform.
